Puma: A brand for sports equipment

In the 1980s and 1990s, PUMA, which had previously been the leader in the athletic sector, veered off course and entered the fashion market. Their failure resulted from this.

With its headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, Germany, Puma SE is a multinational firm that creates and produces sports and casual footwear, clothing, and accessories. The third-largest sportswear producer in the world is Puma.[5] Rudolf Dassler, who died in 1974, founded the business in 1948. Rudolf and his brother Adolf "Adi" Dassler founded Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik, also known as the "Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory," in 1924. The two brothers' relationship deteriorated to the point where they decided to part ways in 1948 and create two distinct companies, Adidas and Puma.

After the breakup, Rudolf first registered the newly formed business as Ruda (derived from Rudolf Dassler, since Adidas was founded on Adi Dassler), but he eventually changed the name to Puma.

The 1980s saw the greatest advancement in footwear design and the release of PUMA's grand ambitions, which placed technology at the center of their design.
